SUPERVISOR EMERITUS

STEPHEN R. SMITH

Steve currently serves as the District treasurer. 

He is a licensed real-estate agent and President of Gaylord Brooks Realty Company, a local real estate brokerage and development firm.

Steve has served on the Board since 1994.

VERNON R. FOSTER

Vernon currently serves as a member of the District Board.    

He is a decorated veteran of the United States Army, past president of Baltimore County Farm Bureau and Lifetime Farmer award recipient.

He has been farming in northern Baltimore County for more than five decades.

Vernon has served on the Board since 1947.

LORING T. SPARKS 

After 34 years of service, "Bud" stepped down from his position on the District Board of Supervisors. 

He has a farming background and has recently retired from Central Maryland Farm Credit after 35 years as a loan officer.

He was awarded the 2006 Outstanding Accomplishment By a District Supervisor award by the Maryland Association of Soil Conservation Districts.

CHARLES E. CONKLIN 

Charlie currently serves as the Chairman of the Board.

Formerly employed by Bethlehem Steel for 36 years, Charlie brings leadership and a passion for conservation to the District.

Charlie has served on the Board since 2003.

DANIEL STABLER DORSEY

Dan is currently an associate supervisor of  the District.  

He worked in the private sector as an engineer for many years prior to working for MDA as an urban conservationist.

Dan has served on the Board since 2003.

LUCY WRIGHT

Lucy is currently an associate supervisor of the District.  

She is a member of the Prettyboy Watershed Alliance, and  Baltimore County Forestry Board.

Lucy's farming background and environmental concern make her a valuable member of the Board.

Lucy has served on the Board since 2004.

DIANA GUTIERREZ

Diana is currently an associate supervisor of the District.

She is a consultant and environmental engineer with Right Way Environmental, LLC. 

Diana has served on the Board since 2007.

 

PAT GHINGHER

Pat is currently an associate supervisor of the District. 

She is a senior teacher naturalist and leader of outdoor science for Baltimore Count Public Schools.  Her background in education and love of nature make her an invaluable asset to the District Board.

Pat has served on the Board since 2004

MIKE MCGINNIS

Mike currently serves as a member of the District Board.    

 

HANK SUCHTING

Hank is the newest member of the Board, joining us in October of 2009.
