ENVIROTHON
- Congratulations to Western School of Technology team #1 on winning the 19th annual
Baltimore County Envirothon. The Baltimore County Envirothon is a hands-on environmental competition for high school students sponsored by the District in conjunction with Baltimore County Public Schools. Students are tested on their knowledge of our county's natural resources -- soils, forestry, wildlife, water and a current environmental issue. Students visit five "in-field" test stations where written and hands-on problem solving is required along with formulating a strategy for increasing public awareness. The winning team from the local Envirothon goes on to represent Baltimore County at the state competition. To find out how your school can get involved with the Envirothon, click here. |
